The Ministry for Family, Women, Youth, Integration and Consumer Protection ( MFFJIV for short ) is a supreme state authority and, in addition to the State Chancellery, one of the nine ministries of the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate . It has its seat in the state capital Mainz . In 2011, for the first time since 1949, an independent “Integration” department was included as a work area in a ministry. The ministry was reorganized after the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2016 .

Minister Anne Spiegel
The ministry is headed by Anne Spiegel (Greens), she is supported by State Secretary Christiane Rohleder (Greens). On May 18, 2016, Malu Dreyer ( SPD ) was re-elected as Prime Minister and then the government was appointed and sworn in. The position of the State Commissioner for Migration and Integration is located in the Ministry.

The Ministry is located in the Mainz government district on Kaiser-Friedrich-Strasse, near Kaiserstrasse .
