Oleksandr Jaslowezkyj ( Ukrainian Олександр Язловецький ; born March 2, 1979 in Sharhorod , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Kiev-Zhytomyr .

Life

Oleksandr Jaslowezkyj studied at the seminary in Horodok and received the sacrament of priestly ordination for the Diocese of Kamianets-Podilskyi on June 26, 2004 from Bishop Maksymilian Leonid Dubrawski, OFM .

At first he was active in pastoral care and also in priest training. From 2006 to 2013 he studied in Rome at the Pontifical Lateran University and received his doctorate in canon law . Then he was Subregens and economist of the seminar in Horodok, which he led as Regens from 2014 . Since 2018 he has been Chancellor of the Diocesan Curia of the Diocese of Kiev-Zhytomyr.

On 18 September 2019 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Tulana and auxiliary bishop of Kiev-Zhytomyr. The apostolic nuncio in Ukraine, Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti , donated him episcopal ordination on November 9th of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Kiev-Zhytomyr, Vitaly Krywyzkyj SDB , and the Bishop of Kamyanets -Podilskyi, Maksymilian Leonid Dubrawski, OFM.
