Oleksandr Volodymyrowytsch Puzko ( Ukrainian Олександр Володимирович Пуцко ; born August 4, 1981 in Hluchiw ) is a Ukrainian cross-country skier .

Career

Puzko took part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 2000 to 2010 . He had his first international success at the Rollerski World Championships in Monte Cervino in 2002 . There he won silver in the team race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2003 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 58th in the 20 km skiathlon, 56th place over 15 km classic, 55th place in the sprint and 14th place with the relay. His best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in 2005 were 54th place over 15 km freestyle and 16th place in the team sprint and with the relay. In September 2005 he won the bronze medal in the relay and in the individual race over 6 km at the Rollerski World Championships in Ronce-les-Bains . He made his World Cup debut in November 2005 in Beitostølen and achieved 14th place in the relay. When they first participated in the 2006 Olympics in Pragelato , he finished 66th in the sprint, 52nd in the 30km ski athlon and 14th in the relay. His best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo were 15th place over 15 km freestyle and with the relay. He ran his first of a total of ten individual World Cup races in December 2007 in Kuusamo , which he finished classically in 69th place over 15 km. In January 2009 he achieved his best result in the World Cup with the 48th place in the 15 km mass start race at the World Cup in Rybinsk . At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , he came 42nd place over 15 km classic. In September 2009 he achieved 15th place in the roller ski world championships in Piglio in the 15 km mass start race and in the 5 km mountain run and sixth place with the relay. At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , he reached 62nd place in the 15 km freestyle and 52nd place in the 30 km skiathlon.
