The office of Plattenburg was an office in Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which eight communities in the then Pritzwalk and Perleberg districts (now the Prignitz district , Brandenburg) had merged to form an administrative association. The official seat was in the municipality of Kletzke . The office was dissolved again in 2001, the municipalities belonging to the office formed the new municipality of Plattenburg . The office of Plattenburg last had (at the end of 2001) a total of 4165 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The office of Plattenburg bordered the offices of Groß Pankow / Prignitz and Gumtow in the north, the offices of Kyritz and Neustadt (Dosse) in the southeast, the state of Saxony-Anhalt in the south and the Bad Wilsnack / Weisen office and the city of Perleberg in the west .

history

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the formation of the Plattenburg Office on July 31, 1992 with effect from August 10, 1992. The office according to office model 1 (formation of its own office administration) had its seat in Kletzke and consisted of the municipalities (in the order in the official gazette):

At the end of 1992, the office of Plattenburg had 4,889 inhabitants. With the voluntary amalgamation of the official municipalities to form the new municipality of Plattenburg on December 31, 2001, the office of Plattenburg was dissolved. At the end of 2001 it had 4,165 inhabitants.

Office Director

The first and only official director of the office of Plattenburg was Gudrun Hoffmann, who became mayor of the municipality of Plattenburg after the office was dissolved.
