The Bad Wilsnack / Weisen office , based in the town of Bad Wilsnack, is an office established in 1992 in the Prignitz district of the state of Brandenburg , in which nine municipalities in the then Perleberg district were initially combined to form an administrative association. As a result of incorporations and congregational mergers, the number of officially affiliated congregations has been reduced to five.

Geographical location

The office is located in the south of the Prignitz district and borders the city of Wittenberge in the west, the city of Perleberg in the north, the municipality of Plattenburg in the east and the state of Saxony-Anhalt in the south .

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the creation of the Bad Wilsnack / Weisen office on July 27, 1992 (with effect from August 1, 1992). The office is based in Bad Wilsnack and initially consisted of the following communities:

  1. Bentwisch
  2. Breese
  3. Great Breese
  4. pit
  5. Legde
  6. Quitzöbel
  7. Rühstädt
  8. Point
  9. City of Bad Wilsnack

The Bentwisch community was incorporated into the city of Wittenberge on December 1, 1997 and left office. On December 31, 2001, the community of Grube was incorporated into the community of Bad Wilsnack. On March 31, 2002, the communities Legde and Quitzöbel formed the new community Legde / Quitzöbel. On October 26, 2003, the community of Groß Breese was incorporated into the community of Breese.

The coat of arms of the Bad Wilsnack / Weisen office shows a blue wavy bar associated with the letter W in the golden shield head. Including three golden, oak-leaf-jagged noble crowns in green.
