The Putlitz-Berge office is an office established in 1992 in the Prignitz district of the state of Brandenburg , in which 17 municipalities in the Pritzwalk and Perleberg districts at that time were initially combined into an administrative association. As a result of incorporations and congregational mergers, the number of officially affiliated congregations has been reduced to five.

Geographical location

The office is located in the north of the Prignitz district and borders the municipality of Karstädt in the west, the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the north, the Meyenburg office in the east and the municipality of Groß Pankow (Prignitz) in the south .

Municipalities and districts

The Putzlitz-Berge office currently administers five municipalities:

  • Mountains with the inhabited parts of the community Grenzheim, Kleeste, Muggerkuhl and Neuhausen
  • Gülitz-Reetz with the inhabited districts of Gülitz, Reetz, Schönholz and Wüsten Vahrnow
  • Pirow with the district of Hülsebeck and the inhabited districts of Bresch, Burow, Mollnitz and Waldhof
  • Putlitz (city) with the districts of Laaske, Lockstädt, Lütkendorf, Mansfeld, Nettelbeck, Porep, Putlitz, Sagast and Telschow-Weitgendorf as well as the inhabited districts of Jakobsdorf, Krumbeck and Neu Sagast
  • Triglitz with the districts of Mertensdorf, Silmersdorf, Triglitz and the inhabited districts of Schmarsow , Neu Silmersdorf and Klein Triglitz

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the creation of the Putlitz-Berge office on June 23, 1992 (with effect from June 26, 1992). The city of Putlitz was designated as the official seat . The office initially consisted of the communities

On December 31, 2001, the municipalities of Triglitz, Mertensdorf and Silmersdorf formed the new municipality of Triglitz. Also on December 31, 2001, the municipality of Hülsebeck was incorporated into the municipality of Pirow. At the same time, the communities of Gülitz and Reetz formed the new community of Gülitz-Reetz. Also on December 31, 2001, the municipalities of Laaske, Lockstädt, Lütkendorf, Mansfeld, Nettelbeck, Porep, Sagast, Telschow-Weitgendorf and the city of Putlitz formed the new city of Putlitz. This reduced the number of municipalities in the Putlitz-Berge office to five.
