Sigrön is an inhabited part of the municipality of Bad Wilsnack from the Bad Wilsnack / Weisen district in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

The place is four kilometers north-northeast of Bad Wilsnack. The neighboring towns are Ponitz in the north, Groß Werzin and Grube in the northeast, Kletzke in the east, Plattenburg and Haaren in the southeast, Arnoldsruh in the south, Bad Wilsnack and Groß Lüben in the southwest, Karthan in the west and Uenze in the northwest.

history

Sigrön was first mentioned in 1843 as a field name in the area where it is today. The place was mentioned in 1897 as the Vorwerk of the village of Grube under the name "Siegrön". The meaning of the name is unclear.

Sigrön has always been part of the city of Bad Wilsnack . On July 25, 1952, the village was assigned to the then newly formed district of Perleberg in the district of Schwerin , before it belonged to the district of Westprignitz . After the reunification, Sigrön was assigned to the Prignitz district in the course of the Brandenburg district reform in December 1993 . The village is in the Bad Wilsnack / Weisen district . Sigrön is part of the parish pit.
