Oleksiy Danilov

Oleksij Mjatscheslavowytsch Danilow ( Ukrainian Олексій Мячеславович Данілов ; born September 7, 1962 in Krasnyj Lutsch , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian politician. Since October 3, 2019, he has been Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine .

Life

Oleksij Danilow was born in Krasnyj Lutsch in eastern Ukraine and graduated from the State Technical University in Starobelsk in 1981 with a degree as a veterinarian. In 1999 he received a diploma as a teacher of world history at the Pedagogical University in Luhansk . Shortly thereafter, he graduated from the Vladimir Dal East Ukrainian National University with a degree in management, as well as the Luhansk Institute of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine. Between July 1994 and September 1997 he was the mayor of the city of Luhansk. From 1999 to 2002 he was a lecturer in the Department of Management at the National University of Vladimir Dahl. Between 2002 and 2005 he was the deputy director of the Institute for European Integration and Development. He was then from February 4 to November 11, 2005 chairman of the Luhansk regional state administration (governor of Luhansk Oblast ). From May 25, 2006 to November 23, 2007, he was a member of the Blok Yuliya Tymoshenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada .

Since July 23, 2019, he has been the deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and on October 3, 2019, succeeding Oleksandr Danylyuk, he was promoted to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyj appointed.
