Olena Oleksandriwna Voronina ( Ukrainian Олена Олександрівна Вороніна , in the English transliteration Olena Voronina ; born May 5, 1990 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian saber fencer .

Career

Olena Woronina achieved the most international successes in team competition. At European Championships she won two silver and four bronze medals with the team, and in 2015 she also won bronze in the individual competition. In 2013 she was world champion in the team competition in Budapest . This was followed by a bronze medal in Strasbourg in 2014 and a silver medal in Moscow in 2015 . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she and the team, which consisted of Olha Charlan , Alina Komashchuk and Olena Krawazka , after victories against South Korea and Italy in the final against Russia , which was lost at 30:45.
