Olga Alexandrowna Prokopjewa ( Russian Ольга Александровна Прокопьева ; born July 23, 1983 in Izhevsk ) is a Russian biathlete .

Olga Prokopjewa took part in a major international biathlon event for the first time as part of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2005 in Muonio . The Russian took ninth place in the sprint, pursuit and mass start. At the Biathlon European Championships 2007 in Bansko , Prokopyeva started for the first and so far only time at a major event in winter. She was only used in the singles, which she finished in 39th place. She was nominated again for the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , but ultimately not used. The 2010 Summer Biathlon European Championships in Osrblie were more successful . In the sprint she won the bronze medal behind Irina Leuchina and Jana Gereková , in the pursuit she only had to admit defeat to Leuchina with whom she also won the mixed relay title alongside Maxim Adiew and Alexei Katrenko . In 2011 she repeated the title win in the mixed relay on the side of Natalja Solowjowa , Alexei Katrenko and Sergei Balandin in Martell . Behind Pavla Schorná , she also won the silver medal in the sprint, but fell out of the medal ranks in the pursuit race in fifth place.
