Irina Michailowna Leuchina ( Russian Ирина Михайловна Леухина ; born June 18, 1987 in Vologda , then Soviet Union ) is a Russian biathlete who temporarily competed for Belarus.

Irina Leuchina was born in the Soviet Union and started biathlon in 1999. At first she lived in Minsk and started for Belarus. Her club was Dinamo Minsk , she was trained by Nikolai Sakharov. Since her debut in Obertilliach in 2004, she has regularly competed in the European Junior Biathlon Cup . The highlight of the first season was participation in the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti , where Leuchina took 15th place in the individual. The next major event was the 2006 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Ufa , where the Belarusian at the time achieved 14th place in both the sprint and the pursuit in the junior competitions. Also in 2007 in Otepää she took part again in the junior competitions and ran in tenth place in the sprint and 15th in the mass start.

For women in the performance area, Leuchina started for the first time at the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2010 in Osrblie . Meanwhile, Leuchina competes again for her native Russia. The Russian was the most successful participant at the European Championships in cross-country skiing and won all three titles in the sprint, the pursuit and with Olga Prokopjewa , Maxim Adijew and Alexei Katrenko in the mixed relay competition.
