Maxim Albertowitsch Adijew ( Russian Максим Альбертович Адиев ; born July 31, 1987 in Novouralsk , Sverdlovsk Oblast ) is a Russian biathlete specializing in cross-country skiing .

Maxim Adijew first took part in junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Otepää . In the sprint he won the bronze medal behind the Estonians Daniil Steptšenko and Karel Viigipuu , in the mass start race he missed another medal in fourth place, which he won in the mixed relay race with Tatjana Belkina , Irina Maximowa and Rinat Gilasow . The following year he took part again in the junior competitions at the Summer World Championships in Haute-Maurienne . In the sprint he was seventh, in the pursuit Adiew improved to bronze behind Anuzar Yunusov and Gilasow. At the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2010 in Osrblie , the Russian started for the first time in a major event for men. In the sprint, Adijew won the silver medal behind Matej Kazár , in the pursuit Alexei Katrenko slipped between the two. With Irina Leuchina , Olga Prokopjewa and Katrenko, he also won the title with the mixed relay.
