Starych made her debut in the women at the start of the 2009/10 season at Sprints in Idre , where she immediately won points as 13th and came eighth for the first time to a single-digit placement in the following race. After another sprint in Ridnaun in which she finished ninth, an international break from competition followed until she competed in IBU Cup races again in 2013 . In Martell , Starykh finished sixth in a sprint race, her best result in the series to date. The first championship for women was the 2013 European Championships . In the individual she reached 17th place, in the sprint she won the title and was seventh in the pursuit race. She finished fifth with the season. At the Holmenkollen in Oslo she made her first appearances in the World Cup a little later . She was 37th in the sprint and immediately won her first points as the second-best Russian runner.
