She made her debut in the 2006/07 season in Jeonju in the World Cup. At the fifth World Cup station in Heerenveen , she achieved second place in the relay and thus her first podium finish in the World Cup. At the European Championships in Sheffield , she played her first international championship, but could not achieve any top placements. At the team world championships in Budapest , she and her teammates achieved seventh place. In the following season, Belyakova did not make the jump to the Russian World Cup team. However, she started at the 2008 Team World Championships in Harbin and finished eighth. In the 2008/09 season she took part in two World Cup races, but did not reach any front ranks.
Beljakowa reached a quarter-finals for the first time in a World Cup race in the 2009/10 Olympic season over 1500 m. At the European Championships in Dresden , she won her first international medal with silver in the relay. Beljakowa qualified for the Olympics in Vancouver . There she competed over 1500 m, but was eliminated in the preliminary run. In the 2010/11 season , Belyakova continued to improve. She reached a semi-finals in a total of three World Cup races. At the European Championships in Heerenveen she was eleventh in the all-around competition, when she took part in a world championship for the first time , she finished 21st. Finally, she reached seventh place at the team world championship in Warsaw .
In the first World Cup of the 2011/12 season , Belyakova reached third place with the relay. She also made it to the finals in two World Cup races over 1500 m, finishing sixth and fourth. At the European Championships in Mladá Boleslav , she achieved her best ever European Championship results. In the all-around event she was fifth, over 1500 m fourth and over 3000 m third.
