Oliver Friederici (born July 3, 1970 in Berlin ) is a Berlin politician ( CDU ) in the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life

Oliver Friederici was born and raised in West Berlin. After graduating from high school in 1990, he studied business administration at the Technical University of Berlin , from 1991 he studied political science at the Free University of Berlin, where he successfully completed his professional training as a political scientist in July 1997. From 1998 to the end of 2011 Friederici worked as a human resources manager in a medium-sized company in Berlin and Leipzig . Friederici is married.

In 1987 Friederici joined the CDU and the Junge Union in Berlin. Since 1993 he has been the local chairman of the CDU in Lankwitz , since 2005 also deputy chairman of the CDU district association in Steglitz-Zehlendorf .

From 1992 to 1995 Friederici was a member of the District Assembly (BVV) in the Steglitz district . He has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since November 1995 and has been directly elected in the Lankwitz constituency since 1999 .

From the end of September 2012 until the state elections in September 2016, he was a member of the BER investigation committee , which was supposed to determine the reasons for the postponement of the opening of the new Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER).

In the current 18th electoral term of the Berlin House of Representatives, Friederici sits on two parliamentary committees for the Berlin CDU parliamentary group. He is chairman of the parliamentary committee for the environment, transport and climate protection of the Berlin House of Representatives. In the committee he is also the specialist spokesman for transport and agricultural policy for the Berlin CDU. Friederici is also a member of the Committee for Civic Engagement and Participation and is also the specialist spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.

Among other things, Friederici is a deputy member of the board of trustees of the Pestalozzi-Fröbel-Haus and a member of the Association of Friends of the Otto Suhr Institute .
