Oliver Stoecking (born April 23, 1967 ) is a former German soccer player. The defender played for Hannover 96 in professional football for two years .

Career

Stoecking started playing soccer at TuS Kleefeld before joining the youth department of Hannover 96. When he was still A-youth, coach Werner Biskup brought him into the A-team in 1984. At the side of the young players Matthias Kuhlmey , Uwe Ronge , Maximilian Heidenreich and Axel Horn as well as former amateur players from the region such as Jose Manuel Cobano or Michael Gue - due to financial difficulties, the club only had the license for the second instance received the 2nd Bundesliga and thus had to rely on young and less well-known players - he established himself in the squad of the two-time German champions.
