Michael Gue
Michael Gue (born September 21, 1962 in Hildesheim ) is a former German soccer player . The striker played for Hannover 96 in German professional football for three years .
Gue played in his youth at VfL Borsum and Concordia Hildesheim before moving to SV Arminia Hannover . For the club he ran in the third-class Oberliga Nord . The young player contributed nine goals this season in the 1981/82 season to the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga . There the team missed promotion after just one win against Tennis Borussia Berlin behind BV Lüttringhausen and TuS Schloß Neuhaus . Although he was able to increase his number of hits in the two following seasons and achieve a double-digit number of goals, the club did not build on the success.
With 15 goals this season in the 1983/84 season, Gue aroused the interest of local rivals Hanover 96. The club had only received the license for the 2nd Bundesliga after some top performers had been given up, and now under coach Werner Biskup had to target young and less known players which he primarily committed from his own youth or the regional environment. However, the team with a number of professional debutants such as Maximilian Heidenreich , Oliver Stoecking , Matthias Kuhlmey or Jose Manuel Cobano surprised with attacking football in the second division. With 14 goals this season, Gue became the team's top goalscorer in the 1984/85 season and, alongside storm comrades Franz Gerber and Frank Hartmann, made a decisive contribution to ending the season behind 1. FC Nürnberg in second place in the table and thus back in to advance to the 1st Bundesliga . He was also one of the club's top scorers in the first division, scoring eight Bundesliga goals in the series of strikes around Siegfried Reich and Fred Schaub , including a goal of the month in March 1985 . In the season characterized by several coach changes - after Jürgen Rynio had replaced the alcoholic Biskup in November, Jörg Berger followed from January to March 1986 and then Helmut Kalthoff - the club missed relegation.
In the second division season 1986/87 Gue moved to Hannover 96 under the newly signed coach Jürgen Wähling in the second member and was inherited by Gregor Grillemeier as striker, who formed the storm duo with Siegfried Reich. As a result, Gue was mainly used as a substitute, only five times during the season he was in the starting line-up. On the last day of the match he scored his only goal of the season in his last game for Hannover 96 on the occasion of a 5-5 draw against FSV Salmrohr . While the club returned to the first division, the club separated from Gue.
After that, Gue worked as an amateur soccer player, u. a. active for VfV Hildesheim , SV Bavenstedt and SC Asel . In the 2010s he was successful several times with the senior teams of Hannover 96 regionally and nationwide (most recently in 2013 German runner-up over 50). He competed in the Bundesliga for the local skat club Hildesheimer Rose . For several years he has been playing for the Borsumer Buben skat club in the DSKV leagues. With the SV Groß Düngen tennis club, he plays in the lower leagues in the 40 age group.
Gue works full-time in the administration of the city of Hildesheim . Since 2006 he has headed the Hildesheim registry office.
