Olivier Gigon (born March 30, 1979 in Delémont ) is a former Swiss ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with SC Bern in the National League A.
Career
Olivier Gigon began his career as a hockey player with HC Ajoie , for whom he made his debut in the National League B in the 2000/01 season and played regularly until 2007. In addition, the goalkeeper sat in the 2002/03 season in two playoff games for HC Servette Genève in the National League A on the bench, but without being used.
After seven years with HC Ajoie, he signed with EHC Basel from the National League A before the 2007/08 season , for which he played nine games before ending the season with the second division clubs HC Sierre and HC La Chaux-de-Fonds . In the following season, the goalkeeper received a contract with Friborg-Gottéron from the NLA, where he was parallel for the Young Sprinters Hockey Club in the NLB between the posts. From the 2009/10 season Gigon played for SC Bern and won the Swiss championship twice with the Berners. In the spring of 2014 he finally ended his active career.
