Olli Hiidensalo (born February 2, 1991 ) is a Finnish biathlete and cross-country skier .

Career

Olli Hiidensalo from the Vantaan Hiihtoseura club started in 2008 in FIS races and lower-class racing series such as the Scandinavian Cup in cross-country skiing, but without achieving any notable placements. He made his international debut in biathlon at the 2010 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Torsby , where he was 33rd in the individual, 13th in the sprint and 17th in the pursuit. In the relay race he missed the medal ranks in fourth place by one place. A year later he was in Nové Město na Moravě 70th of the sprint, 2012 in Kontiolahti 12th of the individual, 58th of the sprint, 31st in the pursuit and 12th with the Finnish relay.

At the start of the 2012/13 season Hiidensalo made his debut among the men in the IBU Cup , where he was 67th and 52nd in two sprint races. Later in the season he reached the points for the first time in Martell as 40th of a sprint. At the start of the 2013/14 season , the Finn won his first World Cup points as the 30th of an individual in his first World Cup race.
