The track cycling over 660 yards at the 1908 Olympic Games in London took place from 17 to 18 July at the White City Stadium instead.

Each nation was entitled to up to 12 starting places. The race distance of 660 yards (603.491 m) corresponded to one lap on the cycling track. The time limit for the race was 1 minute and 10 seconds. The competition took place in three rounds (heats, semifinals and finals). There were a total of 16 preliminary runs, provided that the winner of each run did not exceed the time limit, he qualified for the semifinals. There were four runs there, and here too only the winner of each run qualified for the final, provided the time limit was not exceeded.

In the final, the Briton Victor Johnson was able to secure the Olympic victory.
