The team show jumping at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin took place on August 16 in the Olympic Stadium.
Competition format
No separate lap was ridden for the team competition, but the results achieved in the individual competition were also counted as results for the team competition
The obstacle course consisted of a total of 20 obstacles. The time limit was 160 seconds. Penalty points were awarded for various offenses. These were punished as follows:
- 3 points: First disobedience
- 4 points: dropping an obstacle or touching the moat
- 6 points: Second disobedience and fall of the horse
- 10 points: fall of the rider
- 0.25 points per second over time limit
In order to be included in the results table, all three riders had to have reached the goal.
