The canoe competition in the men's single-canoe 1000 meters (short name: C1 1000) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on August 6th and 8th, 2012 on Dorney Lake . 17 athletes took part.

The competition started with three preliminary runs. The first five athletes and the fastest sixth placed qualified for the semi-finals.

In the semifinals, the first four athletes qualified for Final A, the other starters competed in Final B to determine places 9 to 16.

The directly qualified athletes are highlighted in light green, those who have qualified over time are highlighted in light blue.

With his silver medal, the Spaniard David Cal has won a medal in every Olympic competition he has competed in: 2004 gold over 1000 meters and silver over 500 meters, 2008 silver over both distances.
