David Cal
David Cal Figueroa (born October 10, 1982 in Cangas , Province of Pontevedra ) is a former Spanish canoeist .
In the Summer Olympic Games of Athens 2004 Cal brought on 27 August 2004 in a time of 3: 46.201 minutes in the gold medal On the one canoe (C1) over 1000 meters before the German Andreas Dittmer . The next day he had to admit defeat in the single-canoe Dittmer over 500 m and won the silver medal.
At the Summer Olympics in Beijing he won a silver medal in the single canoe over 500 and over 1000 m. In London he won another silver medal in the single canoe over 1000 m at the 2012 Summer Olympics .
In March 2015, he announced the end of his career.
