Omar BA Sey also Omar Barou Sey (born February 2, 1941 in Basse ; † March 2, 2018 in Banjul ) was Foreign Minister of Gambia .

Sey was a Gambian politician. He was a member of the Gambia cabinet under President Dawda Jawara as Foreign Minister from 1987 to 1994. With the military coup of July 22, 1994, he was deposed with the entire government. The Armed Forces Provisional Ruling Council took over the government until the 1996 elections.

From 1976 to 1988 he was President of the Gambia National Olympic Committee and helped Gambia to take part in the 1984 Summer Olympics for the first time. Sey, who had previously played soccer himself, was President of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) from November 2004 to December 2005.

Sey died in the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in 2018 and was buried in the Old Jeshwang Cemetery.
