Omnitah Schwark (born January 23, 1975 in Ängelholm , Sweden ) is a singer , pianist , violinist , composer , arranger and producer. The singer & songwriter is of Hungarian descent.

Life

Omnitah, who grew up in Sweden and Germany, comes from a Hungarian family of musicians: father a violin teacher and mother a concert pianist. She began to play the violin and piano at the age of three and won several competition prizes at a young age (among others at “Jugend musiziert”). At the age of 17, she studied as an extraordinary auditor from 1992 to 1997 at the Mozarteum Music Academy in Salzburg. She is fluent in Hungarian, German, English and Swedish. One of her special talents is perfect pitch . From 1995 to 1996 she also worked as a model at the model agency Magic Models in Salzburg.

She has also been a studio singer since 2000. Omnitah was under contract with Jack White (White Records founder Horst Nussbaum) from 1999 to 2000 . From 2004 to 2009 she took acting lessons with Thomas Busse and from 2007 to 2009 she was a member of the improv theater group “Gamocks”.

From 1995 to 2003 she was married to a Hungarian musician, with whom she set up her first studio in Munich, founded the label must-music (now closed) and learned to arrange. Your studio is called "Om's Little Studio". In 2009 Omnitah celebrated its 30th anniversary on stage.

music

Omnitah composed around 300 tracks in 20 years. Since 2000 she has produced and published ten solo albums as a singer & songwriter, gave around 700 concerts in Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland and is active as a singer, musician and arranger in many other productions - among others also in movies and TV series etc. a. for Walt Disney (see filmography and discography). At the 36th German Rock & Pop Prize, she was a ten-time winner in 2018, a. a. she won the 1st prize for the German Singer Prize 2018 for the best singer of the year, 1st prize for the best German-language album 2018 for the CD "Seelenstaub", 1st prize for the best pop album for the CD "Teil von mir" and 1st prize . Prize for the best new rock & pop artist of 2018. At the 37th German Rock & Pop Prize she was awarded first prize in the main category “German Singer-Songwriter Prize 2019”.

Private

Omnitah lives in Fronreute (Baden-Württemberg) and is married to the German cameraman and photographer Rolf Schwark.
