Onofrio Solari Bozzi

Onofrio Solari Bozzi (born January 5, 1931 in Belgrade , † November 17, 2015 in Rome ) was an Italian diplomat .

Education

In 1951 he graduated from the University of Paris with a degree in political science . In 1953, he graduated in law at the University of La Sapienza from.

Career

In 1955 he joined the foreign service. From 1956 to 1958 he was Vice Consul in Zagreb . From 1958 to 1961 he was second class legation secretary in Bern . From 1961 to 1965 he was first class secretary of the embassy in Rabat (Morocco). From 1965 to 1968 he was employed in the Department of Economics in America and Space Cooperation in the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Italy) . From 1968 to 1975 he was first class counselor in Bonn . From 1975 to 1978 he had exequatur as consul general in Philadelphia .

From 1978 to 1982 he was ambassador to Accra ( Ghana ) and was simultaneously accredited in Porto-Novo (Benin) and Lomé ( Togo ).

From 1982 to 1984 he headed the United Nations Department in the Foreign Ministry. From 1984 to 1985 he headed the Foreign Ministry's planning department.

In 1985 he held the post of Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Italian Senate and was appointed Envoy Extraordinary and Ministre plénipotentiaire .

From November 15, 1988 to 1991 he was ambassador in Bern .

From 1991 to 1996 he was ambassador to Stockholm .

With a Grand Cross he was accepted into the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic .
