Onur Güney (born October 12, 1982 in Kozan ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Club career

Onur Güney began with club football in the youth department of Çukurova Üniversitesi and then played in the youth teams of various amateur clubs in and around Adana .

In 2004 he received a professional contract with the fourth division club Karayılan Belediyespor , he played straight away as a regular with the professionals. After two seasons he moved to Mezitlispor and a year later to the then third division club Mersin İdman Yurdu . With this club he reached the runner-up in the TFF 2. Lig and thus direct promotion to the TFF 1. Lig in his second season .

For the new season he then moved to third division Adana Demirspor and played here for half a season.

He then moved to the league competitor Elazığspor and celebrated with this club at the end of his second season the championship of the TFF 2nd Lig and thus direct promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . In his third year he came to regular appearances as a supplementary player. On the penultimate matchday, they made the safe promotion to the Süper Lig .

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the Turkish second division club Çaykur Rizespor . With this club he was runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and rose to the Süper Lig . Since his contract was not renewed after this success, he was hired for the new season at the second division Şanlıurfaspor .

In the summer of 2014, Güney moved to Elazığspor within the league .
