geography
course
The Ophover Mühlenbach , also called Ophovener Mühlenbach , rises in Meckhofen, a new building area in Leverkusen - Steinbüchel within a green area . It initially flows in a south-westerly direction through a meadow landscape . At Bohofsweg , the stream disappears underground, only to reappear at the Mathildenhof on the surface. A little later it is dammed into a pond . Here he picks up the little Jüchbach . It flows through two other ponds in a park and is fed shortly after by the Fuskaulbach . The brook now reaches the Ophovener Weiher , into which the Driescher Bach also joins. The Ophover Mühlenbach crosses under Oulusstraße and then Herbert-Wehner-Straße . Its course is now piped underground. At Hermann Waibel Straße , an arm branches off from Ophover Mühlenbach, which fills the moat of Morsbroich Castle and then drains into the Dhünn as a connection between Ophovener Mühlenbach and Dhünn . The main arm of the brook passes partly piped and partly strongly straightened Leverkusen- Schlebusch , to finally flow east of the Karl-Carsten-Ring into the Dhünn .
