The Orchester National de France (French National Orchestra) is an orchestra of Radio France .

It is also known as Orchester National de la Radiodiffusion Française (French National Radio Orchestra) and Orchester National de l'ORTF , where "ORTF" is an acronym for Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française .

The orchestra was founded in 1934, the repertoire is geared towards Debussy and Ravel . The orchestra has been based in the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris since 1944 , where it is occasionally used for opera productions . Some concerts are also recorded in the Olivier Messiaen Auditorium at the Maison de Radio France (also known as Maison de la Radio). Radio France records all of the orchestra's concerts. In 2002 Kurt Masur became the orchestra's music director, and Emmanuel Krivine has held this position since September 2017.

In 1985, the recording of the orchestra of Georges Bizet's Carmen , together with the Chœurs et Maîtrise de Radio France, under the direction of Lorin Maazel, won the Grammy for Best Classical Album .
