Maîtrise de Radio France
The Maîtrise de Radio France is the Children's Choir of Radio France , located in the Maison de la Radio in Paris.

The choir was founded in 1946 by Henry Barraud and Maurice David and with the participation of educators and composers such as Pierre Capdevielle , Jean Planel , Robert Planel and Roger Calmel .
The admission process for children and adolescents from 7 to 15 years of age (before the voice breaks ) at the Cité scolaire Jean de La Fontaine is divided into three phases: first, application with a letter of motivation, second, voice test and third, singing test, musical training and interview. The accepted choir members (currently 168) attend morning classes at a state institution from Monday to Friday and receive musical training in and around the afternoon. a. Choir lessons, singing, piano and harmony. The music training takes place in Paris ( Lycée Jean-de-La-Fontaine ) and since 2007 at a second location in Bondy in the suburb of Paris. Sofi Jeannin has been the artistic director since 2008 . After graduating from high school, some of the choir members are accepted into the Chœur de Radio France .
The children's choir performs regularly a cappella and with the two instrumental ensembles of Radio France, the Orchester National de France and the Orchester Philharmonique . He also worked a. a. with the Philharmonia Orchestra London, the Bavarian State Opera and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as well as the conductors Seiji Ozawa , Daniele Gatti , Myung-Whun Chung , Esa-Pekka Salonen , Semyon Bychkov , Mikko Franck and Gustavo Dudamel . The choir took part in world premieres of u. a. Henry Barraud , Mauricio Kagel , Claude Prey , Guy Reibel and Louis Saguer .
In 1985, the choir won for the inclusion of Bizet's Carmen the Grammy Award in the category Best Opera Recording .
