Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of Moon Studios developed Metroidvania - video game for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One . The game is published by Xbox Game Studios . Ori and the Will of the Wisps , whose development was announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 , is the successor to Ori and the Blind Forest . The game was originally supposed to be released in 2019, the release date was postponed to February 11th 2020 as part of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2019, and again to March 11th 2020 as part of the Game Awards 2019 .
Gameplay
The player controls Ori, the avatar of the game series. In order to advance in the game, players have to complete tasks and solve puzzles. The game allows the player to save the game at any time. As the game progresses, the player should, as in the predecessor, determine the capabilities of the avatars himself. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is about discovering the mysteries behind the forest "Nibel" and about the search for the "true destination" of Oris. Some game elements are inspired by Rayman and Metroid .
