Chaos-Theater Oropax is a comedy duo from Freiburg im Breisgau . The brothers Volker and Thomas Martins founded it in 1983 with Jan-Erik Gürth.

history

In the first few years, the three played theater as a hobby. In 1989 Jan-Erik Gürth left Oropax. Thomas and Volker Martins developed their first duo show The shortest joke of all time . The duo entered the show business in 1992 and has since described their program as "surprisingly pointless". Their appearances are characterized by their spontaneity, a strong tendency to puns and sophisticated puns as well as their great physical effort.

In 2018 they received the Baden-Württemberg Cabaret Prize . In 2019 the brothers were awarded the "Arosa Humor Filler".

Trivia

The Martins brothers are in the Guinness Book of Records with the world's largest collection of strip chewing gum.
