Oskar Fuchs von Diebitsch , also Oscar Fuchs (born January 9, 1866 in Altona , † October 19, 1927 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ) was a German actor .

Life

Very little is known about Fuchs. At first, probably from the mid-1880s, he had played theaters in the German provinces (including in Düsseldorf , Gera , Görlitz and ten years in Freiburg im Breisgau ), but also in Berlin, before he switched to film in the early 1910s. Until the outbreak of World War I , he received leading roles in several crime and sensational films. With the multimillionaire Lincoln in the series of the same name 1912/13, Fuchs even starred in a series of films specially tailored to him.

In 1914 he returned to the stage and only appeared sporadically in front of the camera. Fuchs had also worked as an actor-functionary; so he was temporarily elected chairman of the legal protection office of the cooperative of German theater members .
