Oskar Rupp

Oskar Rupp (born March 13, 1876 in Kirchheim unter Teck , † October 6, 1963 in Korntal ) was a German lawyer.

Career

The son of a postal councilor studied law and political science at the University of Tübingen from 1894 to 1898 . In 1898 he passed the first and in 1900 the second higher service examination. He began his professional career as an unskilled worker and deputy bailiff at the Hall, Heidenheim, Neckarsulm and Waiblingen authorities. Between 1905 and 1913 he was a bailiff in Tübingen and Freudenstadt . Between 1913 and 1815 he worked as a collegiate assistant for the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen. From 1915 to 1916 he was official administrator at the Nürtingen Oberamt and from 1916 to 1919 a scheduled assessor at the Oberversicherungsamt. From 1919 to 1922 he headed the Oberamt Besigheim as an Oberamtmann . Afterwards he was chairman of the ruling chamber of the upper insurance office and the supply court in Ellwangen until 1924 and a councilor at the Ministry of the Interior until 1925. In 1925 he was employed as a senior administrative councilor at the administrative court in Stuttgart, where he was appointed senior administrative judge in 1927. Because of his commitment to the Confessing Church , he was retired by the National Socialists in 1941. After the end of the Second World War he was the first president of the Administrative Court of Württemberg-Baden from 1946 to 1948 .

The writer Hermann Hesse immortalized him in his book Hermann Lauscher as "Oscar Ripplein".
