Oskar Wagener

Oskar Wagener (born January 18, 1878 in Bremen , † February 26, 1942 in Göttingen ) was a German ear, nose and throat doctor.

Life

Oskar Wagener was born the son of a high school professor. He studied medicine at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . In 1902 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. In Heidelberg he also received his specialist training from Carl Adolf Passow . Wagener was initially a professor of ear, throat and nose diseases at the Royal University of Greifswald . In 1917 he moved to the chair for ear, throat and nose diseases at the Philipps University of Marburg , in 1922 to the Georg August University of Göttingen and later to the University of Leipzig .
