The Osura is an approximately 11 km right tributary of the Verzasca in the Locarno district in the Swiss canton of Ticino . It flows through the Val d'Osura (formerly Valle d'Osola) in the municipality of Brione .

The Osura rises at about 2135 m above sea level. M. in the area of Corte del Sambuco between Pizzo dei Chent and Monte Zucchero . After a short run, it passes the Sambuco refuge before reaching the bottom of the Val d'Osola, where several streams flow into it. It initially flows south-south-west past the Alpe Osura and the Ossola Hut ( Capanna Osola ) before turning in an arc to the south-east. The Osura passes several Alps and the district of Bolastro . After it has passed Brione on the southern edge of the settlement, it flows at 731 m above sea level. M. right next to the soccer field from the right into the Verzasca.
