Oswald Arnoldt

Oswald Arnoldt (born April 13, 1873 in Königsberg i. Pr .; † after 1922 probably in Dortmund ) was a German engineer and private lecturer .

Life

Arnoldt graduated from the Royal Wilhelms-Gymnasium at Easter 1892 . In 1897 he completed his engineering studies at the TH Berlin as a graduate engineer . In the same year he became a heating engineer and in 1898 a mechanical engineer in the Rhenish provincial administration in Düsseldorf . In 1899 he worked in the heating office of the city of Berlin and in 1899 in a surveying office in Berlin. In 1900 he was a waterworks and sewer engineer in Berlin and in 1900/01 he was employed by the civil engineering department of the city of Charlottenburg .

In 1904 he became city ​​architect for heating, lighting and mechanical engineering for the city of Kiel . From 1907 he worked as a senior engineer at the city council of Dortmund, where he 1911 Urban Planning Inspector , 1920 Municipal building officer was in 1929 and City Planning Director. On November 22, 1931, he retired.

In 1914 Arnoldt received his doctorate in engineering from the Technical University of Hanover . and published his dissertation on July 19, 1917 on the subject of "Maintaining certain temperatures in schools by regulating the heating devices" ( Oldenbourg Verlag , Munich 1917). From 1919 to 1922 he was a private lecturer for heating and ventilation at the TH Hannover .
