Oswald Heyduck

Oswald Heyduck (born August 8, 1912 in Kochlowitz , Upper Silesia , † November 3, 1982 in Regensburg ) was a German SS-Obersturmführer , head of the security police and security service of the Reichsführer SS (SD) in Sokal and a convicted war criminal .

Life

Oswald Heyduck was born on August 8, 1912 in Upper Silesia. In 1933 he passed the Abitur. On May 1, 1933, he joined the NSDAP (membership number 3,052,660) and the SA . Then he was employed by the Brandenburg State Police Inspectorate. From 1935 to 1937 he served in the Wehrmacht and then he was employed by the Gestapo in Kassel . On April 20, 1938, he became a member of the Schutzstaffel (SS) (SS no.346.555). In the summer of 1940 he was transferred to the Drohobycz border police station . From March to May 1942 he was head of Department IV (Gestapo) Drohobycz. Between May 1942 and October 1943 he headed the branch of the Security Police and the SD in Sokal. Since May 1944 he worked for the commander of the security police and SD (KdS) Lemberg . On September 1, 1944, he was transferred back to the Gestapo in Kassel.

On July 13, 1949, he was sentenced to 16 lifelong imprisonment by the Munich District Court I for murder in 16 cases . The judgment became final on November 14, 1949. He was released from prison in July 1968. Because of a psychosis in prison he was transferred to a mental hospital in Regensburg.
