Oswald Sack

Oswald Ludwig Theodor Sack (born October 24, 1809 in Glogau , † after 1885) was a German lawyer and administrative officer . He was district administrator of the district of Neustadt OS (1842–1843) and the district of Rosenberg OS (1844–1848)

Life

Born as the son of a district tax collector, Sack studied law in Halle , Heidelberg and Berlin after attending grammar school and Jesuit college in Glogau . During his studies he became a member of the Old Halleschen Burschenschaft Germania and the Burschenschaftliche Kränzchen Halle in 1828 , as well as a member of the Arminia Burschenschaft and in 1829 in the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . Because of his participation in the fraternity he was later arrested and interrogated, but not convicted. After completing his studies, he became a government assessor in the Opole government in 1839, district administrator in the Neustadt district (Upper Silesia) in 1842 and district administrator in the Rosenberg district (Upper Silesia) in 1843. In 1850 he was Councilor to the Government Opole and 1854 in the government Legnica . In 1861 he became senior councilor and conductor in the Opole government, and in 1863 in the Breslau government . He took over the chairmanship of the district council. In 1886 he retired.
