Otakar Vejvoda junior (born June 18, 1972 in Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player . His father Otakar Vejvoda senior and his brother Martin Vejvoda were also professional ice hockey players.

Career

Otakar Vejvoda began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HC Kladno , for whose professional team he was active from 1990 to 1996 - initially in the first division , the highest Czechoslovak league, and from the 1993/94 season after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in theirs Successor competition, the Czech extra league . From 1996 to 1998 the attacker played for AIK Solna in the Swedish Elitserien . He then ended his career at the age of 26. After an eleven-year break, he played again in the 2009/10 season for the Lindigö Vikings in Division 2 , the fourth Swedish division.

International

For the Czech Republic Vejvoda took part in the World Championships in 1995 and 1996 and in 1996 also in the World Cup of Hockey . At the 1996 World Cup, he and his team won the gold medal. He himself contributed to this success with four goals and three assists in eight games and was elected to the all-star team of the tournament.
