Otto Emil von Düring

Otto Emil von Düring (born January 23, 1829 in Rotenburg (Wümme) , † October 18, 1912 in Gmunden ) was a Hanoverian court official.

origin

He was a member of the old Lower Saxon noble family Düring . His parents were the chief forester and secret councilor Johann Christian von Düring (* April 16, 1792 - January 29, 1862) and his wife Georgine Luise Frederike Meyer (* July 8, 1804 - December 16, 1836).

Life

Otto von Düring studied camera science at Göttingen . In 1848 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . In 1850 he started an officer career in the Kingdom of Hanover . Until 1866 he was a lieutenant and adjutant in the Hanoverian Gardes du Corps . As Rittmeister he quit his job in 1866 and moved to Ebstorf .

In 1879 von Düring was appointed house marshal of his exile residence in Gmunden by Prince Ernst August , Duke of Cumberland . He initially held the office until 1888 when he returned to Ebstorf. In the 1890s he took over the office of house marshal a second time. Since then he lived in Gmunden until his death.

family

He married Ida Henriette Wilhelmine Auguste Helmine von Engel on May 12, 1859 (born November 10, 1827). The couple had several children:

  • Auguste Ida Henriette Mathilde Helene (* August 21, 1860)
  • Ina Maximiliane Auguste Charlotte Maria Ilsabe (born May 22, 1863)
  • Ida Karoline Johanna Maria (born February 17, 1870)
