Otto Gail

Otto Gail (born September 3, 1887 in Ballersbach , Dillkreis , † April 25, 1970 in Wiesbaden ) was a German administrative lawyer and district administrator .

Life

Otto Gail was a court assessor and was appointed government assessor in March 1922 and worked at the Wetzlar district office. In 1925 he moved to the Wiesbaden district government.

In September 1926, he was temporarily given head of the Einbeck district. In January 1927 he was appointed district administrator of the Einbeck district and in May 1932 he was put into temporary retirement. He joined the NSDAP on September 1, 1932 (No. 1,285,343). In December 1932 he took over the administration of the district of Glogau on a temporary basis; in June 1933 he was appointed District Administrator of the Glogau district . On April 13, 1935, he took over the district office in the Wittgenstein district as a substitute ; From 1938 to 1942 he was a member of the supervisory board of Kölsch-Fölzer AG in Siegen.

On October 16, 1938 he was appointed senior councilor of the Kassel district government . In 1944 he was assigned to the Oberversicherungsamt, later transferred to the Wiesbaden district government. In 1945 he was released from civil service.

After the end of the war, he was interned by the military government as a Nazi burden . In the denazification process he was classified as a follower  (IVa) in 1947 and finally as an exonerated  (V) in 1948 . Until 1939 he was head of the NSDAP's district office for local politics in the Wittgenstein district. In 1934 he was honored as an "old party member" of the NSDAP. He joined the NSDAP Schutzstaffel in 1934 with the NSFK and the BNSDJ / NSRB , whose district group leader in the National Socialist Legal Guardian Association ( NSRB ) in Wittgenstein from 1939 to 1941.
