Otto Julius Fahr

Otto Julius Fahr (born July 28, 1862 in Hamburg ; † February 10, 1930 ibid) was a German businessman and member of the Hamburg parliament .

Life

Fahr received Hamburg citizenship in 1890 . He became a partner in the company Andr. Fahr , who mainly dealt with the import of coffee . He was chairman of the Hamburg coffee exchange in 1915 and from 1918 to 1925.

Fahr belonged to the Hamburg parliament from 1905 to 1921. He was a member of the “Fraction of the Right”, which in 1916 renamed itself to the “Fraction of the National Liberal Party ”. When the National Liberals were reorganized into the German People's Party , he became a member of this new party in 1918. From 1919 to 1921 he was Vice President of the City Council.

Fahr was a member of the finance deputation from 1909 to 1924, Lippmann reported: "... the finance deputy Otto Fahr worked with me on the state's real estate transactions."

From 1919 to 1923, Fahr was a member of the supervisory board of the Hamburger Freihafen-Lagerhaus Gesellschaft, HFLG .

Fahr was buried in the Fahr family grave in Ohlsdorf cemetery.
