Otto Philipp Schenk from Stauffenberg

Otto Philipp Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg (born October 28, 1926 in Munich ; † July 16, 2015 at Greifenstein Castle (Franconian Switzerland) ) was a German forest official.

Life

Otto Philipp was the youngest of four siblings and spent his childhood and youth at Jettingen Castle . As the nephew of Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg , after the assassination attempt on July 20, 1944 , he was taken into kin custody on August 11, 1944 and taken to several prisons and concentration camps. After graduating from high school , Schenk von Stauffenberg studied forestry at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1950 he became a corps bow bearer of the Hercynia Munich. After he married Oculi Freiin von Lerchenfeld in September 1949 in Bamberg Cathedral , he took over the grandfather's castle in Greifenstein. The marriage had four children and eight grandchildren. Graf Stauffenberg sat on the Stücht local council from 1960 to 1970 and on the market council of Heiligenstadt in Upper Franconia from 1978 to 1996 . From 1972 to 1990 he was a member of the Bamberg district council . For 28 years he was chairman of the parish council in Heiligenstadt.

Schenk von Stauffenberg was married to Oculi Schenk Countess von Stauffenberg (1923-2006).
