Otto Schemm
Otto Karl Schemm (born May 27, 1920 in Brand near Marktredwitz ; † July 3, 1996 in Arzberg ) was an Upper Franconian dialect writer, interpreter of dialect literature and folk music .
Act
The full-time rector of the Arzberg elementary school also worked as a freelancer for Bayerischer Rundfunk . Together with his wife Martha, geb. Roth and his daughters Inge, Lisl and Christl, he designed radio and television programs for Bavarian Radio through folk music contributions. He wrote almost 20 plays and more than 100 skits and radio plays, which were set to music in numerous radio recordings.
Schemm was also the founder of the theater community and disabled sports group as well as the initiator of the VdK settlement in Arzberg.

- 1996 (with Martha Schemm): Honorary award at the “Day of Folk Music” in Banz Monastery , Hanns Seidel Foundation
