The Ougeotte is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Saône department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises on the municipal boundary of La Quarte and Ouge under the name Ruisseau des Aignelots , generally drains in an easterly to north-easterly direction and, after 27 kilometers opposite Montureux-lès-Baulay, flows as a right tributary into a loop of the Saône , which is used for shipping a shortcut channel is bypassed. A second branch of the estuary, called Rivière Neuve , runs a little further south and flows into a shortened loop of the Saône at the town of Hatre , around two kilometers away .
