Out of Body Experience ( Engl. , Out of body experience ') is the second album of the melodic death metal band Degradead that of Dockyard1 was published in February 2009.
History of origin
Out of Body Experience was recorded in November 2008 in the Abyss studio in Ludvika and produced by Degradead together with Jonas Kjellgren (also guitarist for Scar Symmetry ). Daniel Bergstrand (who worked for In Flames and Meshuggah , among others ) took part in the album as a sound engineer . The mix took place in December at Uppsala's Dug Out Studios . The album was mastered by Mats "Limpan" Lindfors in the Cutting Room, Stockholm . The album release was celebrated in February 2009 at Debaser Medis in Stockholm.
A video was shot in Trollhättan for the song Wake the Storm . In addition to a kind of live performance in front of a black background, the video tells the story of a criminal on the run from the police, who later falls into the hands of a group of pimps. The video was filmed in first person view . After the shooting followed a headliner tour through Europe and a subsequent support tour for Satyricon through Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

Music genre
The music style on Out of Body Experience can be assigned to Melodic Death Metal. Degradead's music is comparable to that of the band In Flames . The singing is mostly growled and alternates with some songs with clear vocals. In some songs, subtle influences from Thrash Metal can be seen .

"The debut was already a decent album, but now Degradead really show what's going on."
