Osgood Robert "Oz" Perkins II (born February 2, 1974 in New York City ) is an American actor , screenwriter and director .

Life

He is the eldest son of actor Anthony Perkins and actress and model Berry Berenson . He is also the brother of the musician Elvis Perkins , a grandson of the stage actor Osgood Perkins , a nephew of the actress Marisa Berenson and a great grandson of the fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli .

Perkins got his first acting role in 1983 in the movie Psycho II , the sequel to the Hitchcock classic Psycho . He played twelve-year-old Norman Bates, whom his father had previously played in Psycho . From 2001 he had small roles in the films Naturally Blond and Secretary , and acted in various television series such as Alias ​​- Die Agentin and Close to Home . His mother was victim of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 . She was on American Airlines Flight 11 , which was piloted into the North Tower of the World Trade Center .
