The Pürschling is a 1566 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Ammergau Alps in the area of the municipality of Unterammergau .
The summit can be reached as an easy mountain hike from Linderhof Castle , Oberammergau or Unterammergau . Sure-footed mountain hikers can continue to climb the Teufelstättkopf ( 1758 m ).
The August-Schuster-Haus is located below the summit at 1564 m . A forest road leads from Unterammergau to the hut. In winter this forest road is used as a toboggan run. Parallel to the forest road, you can hike through the Schleifmühlklamm in the lower part and in the upper half take a path west of the forest road along the Plattenberg ridge. The lower branch of the path from the forest road is inconspicuous and not signposted.
