Normal way | Farchant - Kuhflucht waterfalls - Hoher Fricken |
The Hohe Fricken is a 1940 m high mountain in the Estergebirge in the Bavarian Prealps and lies between the Wank and the over 2000 m high Bishop . The summit can be reached as an easy mountain tour from Oberau or from the swimming pool in Farchant (via the path to the Esterbergalm or to the Hohen Wank ) or a little steeper from Farchant past the Kuhfluchtfalls . The Frickenhöhle is halfway up the ascent over the Kuhfluchtfalls . Walking time approx. 4 hours each.
Since the reopening of the Farchant stop in December 2010, the Munich – Garmisch-Partenkirchen railway has again made it possible to have attractive opportunities to cross over, e.g. B. Farchant - Hoher Fricken - Esterbergalm - Partenkirchen or Farchant - Hoher Fricken - Oberau.
